Hmmm...where to start?
First of all, I'm a mall rat. Yeah, I'm an overgrown teenager. Anyways I have a lot of time on my hands after I get out of work at 9:30 a.m. so at least maybe once a week, I hit one of the local malls (hot spots, Target, Sports Merch shops, ugh, yes, Hot Topic and Zumiez) Anyways, the other day I'm at Sears at Tanforan and what do I hear? Christmas music Okay, I luv Christmas as much as anybody else, but DAMN! The turkey hasn't even been based yet (or even attempted to.) I think it's a subliminal message to break out the wallet or purse.
For now, Bah HUMBUG!
Next, been listening to a lotta RUSH of late. Usually I save the summer for Punk, but since the weather has changed, its either break out the Metal or the Deathrock. Why RUSH I have no idea. The new ECHO AND THE BUNNYMEN is quite good. I pretty much go for the hits like "Killing Moon" and "Lips Like Sugar," but I decided to take a chance on their new release and it was a pleasant surprise. Okay, before I alienate the Metal audience, the new HYPROCRISY is a good listen, same could be said for the new IMMORTAL. Not ones for a battle hymn to conquer the world, but at least enough to support a bludgeon to ears on the iPod or CD player. Still have to go through the new KATATONIA, MARDUK and MISSION OF BURMA (not all in that order.)
Next up, THE BIG GAME! It's kinda like when I when I see the A's play the Giants or the 49ers take on the Raiders, I like Cal, but this weekend, unfortunately, I have to go Red! (or Cardinal) Going down the line, Sharks playing consistent as you'd expect. Yeah, should be in in the running for the division title, but again the never ending question of how far can they go in the Western Conference playoffs. For now, they have enough offense, but come playoff time, it's not that reliable and again, they lack grit. On the other side of the Bay, the W's are a tough pill to swallow. There's a lot of talent around, but too much turmoil with Nellie behind the wheel. 49ers, looking like their going to miss the playoffs again. Raiders, looking like sunk ship.
Last, this guy's hair is actually as long as mine now
Hmmm...I think you have the answer were Davy Havok's hair went.
