GUESS WHO HAS A NEW MEMBER OF THE FAMILY??
Me!
Her name is Sammy, and she's a super-extra-duper adorable boob kitten. Just got her yesterday, and she's already adjusting to the new house. Maybe you can tell by the goofy, half-cross-eyed grin, that I'm pretty stoked to have her. She slept with hubby last night, and I would've been jealous if it wasn't so darn cute.
So, as far as new news goes, I got promoted at work this week (eek!!!), and things have been going swimmingly. I very seriously have doubts in my leadership abilities, so it was refreshingly surprising to hear from my supervisor that I've been doing very well.
Needless to say, life has been very positive lately. Of course it comes with its stresses, but so much good has come of it that I've still been able to remain optimistic.
As a matter of fact, it's that exact optimism that brings me to my next point.
I'm already in the medical field, but I've always had this dream of becoming involved with body modification; namely, piercing. Right now I have some of the training necessary, but I think now would be a good time to begin really focusing on what I want to do in the future. Don't get me wrong, working on an ambulance is a really fulfilling job, exciting at times, and I feel like I'm doing well for the sake of my fellow man. Regardless, I still feel like something's missing. I love my job, and I definitely won't be quitting anytime soon, but after all the great things that have been happening lately, I feel like i'm finally ready to the next step towards what I really want.
The only problem is, I have no idea just HOW to make that step. I know that I need to work in an apprenticeship, but seeing as how I've just moved into a new city, and just bought a new house, I really don't know anyone here yet (my job guarantees a busy schedule). So then, SGLand, this is where I need help. If you're reading this and you live in the Colorado Springs area, and just so happen to know any great piercers (it's a longshot, I know), or even just have some advice with experience in body modification to back it up, I'm more than eager to listen up. Please, message me, comment on this blog, anything! I need guidance here!
It's much appreciated.
...so I'll just leave this here.
xoxo
