It's been a while since a food journal, so wrapped up was I in other things (for anyone wanted the giant phalluses, see previous two entries).
Anyway, my wife came home after a trip out of town and I made her:
To Start:
Crudites, olives, and pistachios.
Main Course:
A two-day duck recipe (you poach the duck on the first day with ginger, and on the second day you roast it)
Accompanied by rice cooked in the duck broth (the best!)
And a frise salad with honeyed walnuts
Desert:
Kumquat "drops" - Kumquats dipped in honey, sugar, cinammon, and salt, then frozen.

I've made breakfast and dinner for sb yesterday: foie gras on grilled toast, then pain perdu with honey. for dinner: green asparagus with potatoes and jambon, served with a false hollandaise. for dessert: coppeneur's white truffes with poppy seed
