Maybe it's just because I'm really surly and still play emulated SNES games, but does it bug anyone else that there are STILL people bitching about the quality of graphics in video games?
Am I just too easy to please for thinking that pretty much EVERYTHING looks awesome now? Does this mean I'm getting old? Yeah, sometimes the frame rates are shitty or the characters' individual strands of hair aren't that attractively rendered or have poorly thought-out features (the lead singer in Guitar Hero 3 is a prime example of this problem), but all in all I think video games look great these days no matter what system you're playing on. "OMG THIS GAME WOULD LOOK SO MUCH BETTER ON SUCH AND SUCH NEXT GEN SYSTEM RATHER THAN THIS PARTICULAR NEXT GEN SYSTEM". What? What? All of the next gen consoles have only been out for about a year and already people are complaining? It makes no sense to me whatsoever.
I suppose this is what happens when you work in a video game shop largely patronized by spoiled rich kids. I am glad it was only a temporary gig because I am pretty sure overhearing conversations like that for more than a few weeks would have driven me bonkers.
I have decided I am going to stretch my ears some more. So that I can wear plugs with horrible, giant cubic zirconia in them. You guys think I am joking but I'm not. I think they are awesome and hilarious.
ALSO I am gearing up to buy new skates for derby. FINALLY. It is still going to be a while (probably about a month or so) because I just got my bill for the trip I took to the emergency room to have the demons released from my throat. It was five hundred bucks. UGH. And I still haven't gotten the bill from Urgent Care or from the follow up appointment to my doctor, during which she did blood work. My mum told me she would help me out with the bills if need be but I would really rather not borrow money from her if I can help it. Maybe if I get my Etsy shop squared away I can raise the money? Maybe?
Who wants to buy a pickle jar full of felt bears? They are cute! How much would you pay for a pickle jar full of felt bears because the big problem I am having with getting my shop set up is trying to figure out how much to charge for this nonsense.
Edited to add: I watched Pan's Labyrinth today. Wow, that movie is awesome.

BLUE BLUE!
I agree people REALLY need to stop bitching and jsut go into a WOW status over the graphics we have. I mean if you look even 5 years ago we have came a LONG way. It really is amazing.
The earing idea sounds like a sweet one to me.
Yeah the pickle jar with felt bears is not for me but I really can see some of the females I know going for that.. good luck!!!
