My Dream started out with me in a junkyard with a half dozen other people surrounding a dragon egg. The leader went over wit an axe and started chopping into the egg to crack it open. Within a couple swings he had sliced open the top part and we had our prize. Baby dragon scales fetched a great price. While the crew started the 'harvest' and cleanup I couldnt help but feel sad for the dragons. For as long as I could remember we'd been hunting and killing any dragon spawns we could find as soon as we found them without any second thoughts about it. When I asked our commander about what he thought would happen to the dragons if we kept killing their young at the rate we have been his response was that they always seem to keep popping back up. I didnt really have the heart to keep hunting them like that. On the drive out from there I was just on my own again and I found myself driving through a windy mountain road and off to my right was a dense cloud forest and I could see a mature copper colored drake flying down below, weaving through the trees as he went so I could only catch glimmers of copper here, and a snaking tail here as it went. I needed to convince myself that my previous actions hadnt doomed the dragons to extinction so I decided to try my hand at studying dragons instead of killing them. I tried to drive after the dragon as best as the road could allow, but that did not allow me to follow them at all really and after only a moment or two he was lost back in the forest again. From there the dream put me in a labratory. The room itself was quite long and in the center of the floor were long glass terrariums packed tight with small forest greenery. In the cases were my test subjects, the dwarf variety of dragons. Hanging in amongst the shrubberies and plants were small dragons the size of humming birds, and very small tree frogs as well, again of approximately the same size. I wasnt sure exactly what the frogs were in there for, but the frogs were needed by the miniature dragons in some way and that was part of why I was studying them. I needed to unlock some part of their mystery if I was going to save them.
From there the dream took a wicked skew. I left the lab door and walked out on the main deck of a ferry on a cool autumn day. I looked out over the water and could see the most spectacular set of islands with dense fir trees and sharp slate gray rocks, and there was a mountain view directly in front of where the ferry was turned currently that just took my breath away. There wasnt a railing on the deck though and I was so distracted by the view I had nearly walked right off the edge. Just as I was relieved I hadnt just gone right over, I looked over to make sure my mom and sister were still safe on deck as well. Then I heard a splash just behind me and 2 people had gone overboard, at the same spot I had been standing a few seconds before. A couple seconds after that I heard another pair of splashes and my mom and sister had dove into the water as well to try to rescue the first pair of people. I started to panic thinking the water must be freezing and they wouldnt have any time to be rescued or they'd freeze to death. I yelled man overboard and started to reach my hand out to the water, but when I brushed the top of the water it was extremely warm. I stopped worrying about the water temp and now was just about trying to get the gigantic ferry to stop moving so I could fetch my family back out. I remembered seeing them floating out a bit from the side of the ship, but that was when the dream unraveled completely.
