And this is a test to see if I've figured out how to add pictures into my posts or not. But either way, go check out my pictures area and you'll see a couple other pics of my currently blooming orchid and can see my couple decent house pics.
My Oncidium sharry baby is one of my favorite varieties of orchids, and was actually the one that got me started growing orchids in the first place. They have a powerfull fragrance of vanilla with a hint of semi chocolate. Always a sure way to wow people who've never smelt one before. If you look at the pic of the whole plant I've got, you can see I've got another spike coming in as well so it should start blooming again in another month and a half or so. The blooms I took a picture of here are in their downward slope right now, because I'm a lazy bastard. BUT they did last like 3 weeks or so for me. Not bad at all still . AND today I found my other sharry baby plant with spike. That'll be the first time I got that particular plant to bloom for me, except for when I bought it. But its an alba variety so the blooms instead of being the deep red will be cream colored with the red lips. After all, I had to have one of each right? Yeah I thought so. If i'm lucky though I'll be able to have em both blooming at the same time. Two spikes off large plants might be enough to give the whole room a light fragrance.... but Im not counting on it yet. Time will tell.
