Ok I just got back from my first live fight here in Everett. Yeah it kicked some ass. 15 fights in one night. They did not mess around. The first fight was a heavy weight kick boxing match and the one guy looked like he had just left his bowl of ice cream and the other guy looked like he was carved from marble. The first guy looked scared as hell and basically gave up and surrendered as soon as he had an opportunity. The rest of the fights were all really good. Everyone fought there asses off. There were 3 kick boxing matches and all the rest were pankration matches. One of the kick boxing matches was probably the fight of the night with both being a super light weight 135lb division and they both just went off going back and forth non stop action. One fighter did get caught a couple times with low kicks to the groin and we had to have a long break while he recovered, but they both fought just as fiercely afterwards. The fight ended up with a title match for the local Ax Fighting 155lb division and it was a pretty lopsided match. both fighters were 9-3 coming into it but the good guy won the fight (cause he trains at the school my roomate trains at) and in dominant fashion. the end of the first round the fight should have been over, the champ had the challengers back and had him stretched out full on his belly and was just raining down punches to the side of his head for 20 seconds unanswered. The time ran out and he got a second chance in round 2, but after another minute and a half of viscious action they ended up in the same place and the ref called it pretty quick after that. The only problem with the fights tonight was I totally spaced on the idea of me actually taking tomorrow off to let my voice recover. I screamed my ass off and now my voice is all raw. I still might need to burn some sick time tomorrow if talkign is too messed up. Also because I forgot to save tomorrow off I didnt get a chance to go hang out with the fighters at the local bar for the after party. No way in hell I'd be fit for work if I went to a bar by 1130 and had another few drinks and rolled back into home around 1 or 130. Nice thing is it would have been all still within walking range of my house, but alas I was a dumbass and missed my opportunity. Next time it'll be better.

I haven't started the two full time jobs yet. Thatwill be fairly soon though. I've just had a lot going on. I've never been to any live fight before but I have seen people getting their ass kicked back when I was in high school.... that doesn't count does it?
