So I only wandered about Greater Auckland on Monday, Tuesday and Friday, having read or watched anime for the other days. On Monday I went and watched "Thor: Ragnarok", I was quite amused by the use of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" Music in it. On Tuesday I went back to wander in the CBD. I bought 5 enamelled shot glasses while wandering all around the harbour, both sides. On Thursday I played several hours of "Grim Dawn" with a brand new character. On Friday I went and wandered about Cornwall Park and One Tree Hill, I had fun talking to the ladies at the parks information. It's been a very relaxed week :).
So my impression of Auckland so far (as opposed to Perth) .... mostly wooden two storey houses rather than Perths single storey double brick houses. Car parking is cheaper. Greener, which is rather obvious given Australian native vegetation is often khaki to olive green. More people movers for cars than Perth. Far more multi-cultural with the caucasian population less than half the total IMO. Cooler with cool seabreezes everywhere. Mountainous as expected by 13 dormant volcanoes compared to Perths flat sand dunes. Higher density population.
