Every so often, when reading, I come across a sentence/paragraph that strikes me as a truism and possibly a concise description of something. In the book "Magic Bleeds" by Ilona Andrews I read this "'A real broken heart never goes away. You can pull yourself together and you can function, but it's not the same." No, it's never the same, and sometimes, memories, regrets and desires get triggered all over again.
