Over 5 years ago I had an operation to replace my aortic valve with a metal one. It makes a clicking noise, quite noticeable when it is quiet. The problem was caused by a birth defect apparently. As a result I've been on 3 medications for it, one of which is used for rat poison. In addition, I am taking medication for high cholesterol. The side-effects are simple, extended bleeding, poor memory formation and fluid retention in the legs. I also suspect that prolonged intake has had an effect on my language skills because I sometimes have trouble remembering words in common use.
Anyway i recently had a doctors consultation in order to refresh my prescription and he wanted me to head to a pathologist for blood tests *sigh*. Anyway, this morning I woke with a caffeine headache and just after making my morning coffee but before drinking it, I remembered that the blood tests might require 12 hour fasting. Unfortunately I was right, and I proceeded to go into the pathologist without coffee or food on a cold winters morning, huzzah. I was glad for it all to be over so I could eat and drink away the caffeine headache.
What do you mean, "you want a better story, with a point"?
