Why should I blog here? I joined SG out of whimsy, after all I've known of it for a long time I just couldn't be bothered. I do miss GGOTW though. I'm not here to get friends merely to be JAFO. I have other places to comment like FB and LJ :.

I'm of a Libertarian orientation in my politics, which is to say I'm not particularly bothered by what the politicians want to do as long as it doesn't impinge on my "right" to act responsibly or my ability to have fun. Yeah that does mean that I think that Conroy and the Censorship Board should be removed and replaced with people more responsive to the modern world.

While I'm at it, let's remove the copywrite laws that prevent use of material unobtainable except through piracy. I mean, seriously, the recording/video industry is nuts in this regard "You can't have/read/watch/hear this unless you are from 'X' country and pay cash"?

Finally, let's get rid of gene patenting. I mean peoples Genes are "prior art", I have no issues with patenting means of viewing/measuring/identifying/using the genes but not the genes themselves....
