Thought I'd give a better update this time.
Term is nearly over, but that means sod all to me . . . as I'm staying in Bristol to do my research project over almost the entire easter vacation.
I don't know why I'm mad, I 'd planned to do this at about this time last year. But its here now and I'm just pissed off about it. I have been drunk three times in the last week though. One geology piss-up which really hurt, a late license event at Durdham Bar and Last Night of the Bar last night (free beer for staff is a great idea).
I do have a few things to look forward to over the next few weeks as well as copious research and job hunting though:
- Wales play Ireland for the Six Nations Grand Slam on Saturday evening in Cardiff. If we win, it'll be our first Grand Slam in 27 years. Even if we lose by less than 13 points we'll still win the Championship title. We've already beaten England (11-9), Italy (38-8), France (24-18) and Scotland (46-22) so we're in good shape.
- Durdham Hall is beautifully quiet in the vacation, and so is uni, so I'll get loads of work done and get my sleeping pattern right back in check.
- I'm gonna try and catch up with some old friends of mine including the wonderful Neyrissa who I've not seen in 2 months, since the purple hair period.
- My Dads 50th birthday in a month. This is the only reason I'm going home at all. If I know my parents It'll be a fantastic piss-up!
- I'll try and entice some of my Cardiff-based mates to join me in Bristol for Beer and Poker. What more could a man ask for (women obviously)?
- And I'm praying for new sets by October and Neyrissa (possibly both) to be put up over the next month. New material from my two favourite SGs lightens up my day to a huge degree.
