I want to meet the guy that coined the phrase "BONER"
Forget figured it out oh how I love google lol
I heard somewhere the word for happiness in French is Le Bonheur. During the American Revolution, Americans and French fought side by side to put the final kibosh on the English so our ancestors spent some quality time together. Whenever a French soldier excitedly said he was happy (le bonheur), Americans, not speaking French thought it sounded a lot like "boner" ...put 2 and 2 together, it does kind of seem like it's a bone, and the name stuck. Ha ha, stuck. No pun intended. I can't verify this ...but it kinda makes sense.
