So, as most of you know, I went to the frikin' Rose Bowl yesterday to watch the best college football game I've ever seen. IT WAS AWESOME. The only problem is now, I can't see a regular season game in person without a let down, oh well, it was worth every penny. The tickets, the air fare, the rental car, all worth it to see us BEAT USC!!!!
Here is my very abbreviated picture journal. If I posted all my pictures, it'd be like 800+meg worth.
So, I arrived at the Rose Bowl, traffic in wasn't too bad. The entrance was big and advertised, fucking corportations.
On the way in I saw some interesting folk.
Made my way to my seats which weren't specatular but weren't bad. I paid a lot of money for them and in retorospect, I'd do it all again, in a heart beat.
The bands and mascots/band leaders came out first and god USC's band was absolutely HORRIBLE. The Texas one was decent, not great but god USC's...so bad!!
Although the Trojan looked a tad ghey, I did really like the whole plunging of the sword into the field. I thought it was a cool touch. Bevo (the real one) sat in the back, guarding the Texas tunnel. The other Bevo (dude in a suit) had other plans.
Soon the teams took the field....
Umm did I mention UT cheerleaders are hot especially in their assless chaps? They had booty shorts on underneath, but still
I won't get into the game details as ESPN covers it a lot better than me, but it's a celebration, bitches!!!!
Holy crap, I've waited for this my whole life. When I was younger, I would cry every time Texas lost, this time, I almost cried when they won. Most tense fourth quarter for me ever. My heart was racing the whole second half and it almost stopped at THAT first down measurement.
I wish I could describe everything here, but the journal entry would be huge. This will have to do for now. I have pics and lots of video incoluding me singing poorly to The Eyes of Texas, heh.
Some signs worth mentioning that I saw
Roses are red, Trojans will be blue, when their team is number 2

And don't worry about the bottle. I was just worried when I thought it wasn't capped. But it was, so no big deal.
Rasheed Wallace hopes coaches don't cast All-Star votes for him.
"Vote for them four, don't vote for me," he said. "I don't want no All-Star votes for two reasons. One, that's not my goal -- I would rather win a championship. Plus, I want to be down on the beach having a couple cocktails with my wife at All-Star break."
I ♥ Rasheed.
