The answer to this next one surprised me when it happened. I remember trying Dark Souls 3, and quitting it immediately. Some time later, I gave it another try and ended up loving it. Still, I only played it once, and didn't really get all that into any other fromsoft games.
When the announcement for Elden Ring came out, I was curious, but not really even considering it. Until I saw the early gameplay. I ended up preordering it. And a solid 800+ hours later, it's the only Souls-like game that I've gotten every achievement for. Which is why I'm so bummed out that I can't afford the dlc.
Elden Ring became my favorite game. But a surprising second favorite emerged.
I've only put around 400 or so hours into it. But Power Wash Simulator has quickly become my comfort game. I don't know quite what it is about it. It's almost meditative the way you can just zone out with some good music playing while power washing.
