So, last night I compiled all of the different files that make up this story. I'm sending it to a friend, the only friend who will actually read it, to see what he thinks of the work so far. And as I was putting it all together I noticed something interesting.
You see, I title every document with the date and chapter number. And of the... nearly 60,000 words I've written? Only about a third of that was written before this month. The first real draft beginning in November, leading through February. That means in less than a month, the shortest month of the year no less, I've written 40,000 words worth of content. Versus the three months the other 20,000 took to write.
Kind of a crazy increase in productivity, wouldn't you say?
I just wish I had other people I could trust to read it, getting more feedback would be helpful.
