Not sure what lit the fire, but I just finished a sixth chapter. Something like 6000 words written in just three days. I know it could be better, but I'm happy with the sudden process.
Gods... Imagine the progress I'd make if I wrote for more than just an hour or two a day.
I think the grand total word count is just under 40k. Which means I'm about halfway there. I think the way the story is working it's going to be a decent sized first act, a smaller second act, and then a smaller final act. I mean, there are really going to be three distinct settings, so that kind of makes sense.
Of course, I'm not entirely sure what's going to happen once we set out across the wasteland. And I've already been surprised by my characters, so there's no telling what'll happen.
Sorry, I think I'm just riding a writing high at the moment. I needed this feeling.
