What is it about reading a book, that makes every person in this house decide that now is the moment that they want to talk to me? I got a copy of My Best Friend's Exorcism yesterday, it seemed interesting. Anyway, I pick up my book to start reading, and somebody pops up wanting to talk. I put the book down, they disappear. I try again, someone else suddenly wants to talk. I just wanted to read my book...
I know they aren't doing it on purpose, but damn.

@WOLFWOOD1203 There's a game that helps fight rejection. The essence is to receive refusals every day for 30 days (at least 1 refusal), but ask for something insignificant and not quite feasible for one reason or another. For example, when you go to the coffee pot ask: can you make coffee yourself? When you go in for a doughnut, ask if you can bake them so that you get the symbol of the Olympics - five rings stuck together. Simple requests that are fair to refuse, most often you will be refused, but you can see how people give these refusals and at a minimum level of difficulty you will learn how to receive these refusals.

@headshot Interesting idea, it does sound like a good way to get used to rejection.
