Has it really only been five months? I started trying to improve my health because I was finally starting to feel the weight effecting me on a day to day level. I was somewhere around 290 pounds (probably higher), so it was definitely well past time to get off my ass and do something about it.
It was going fairly well until this last month. I didn't stop, I didn't get back into old habits and gain anything back. I just hit a wall, and stopped losing weight. Which is a common occurrence in weight loss.
But whatever happened seems to have passed, because I seem to have started losing weight again. I'm stupidly happy right now because the last couple weigh ins put me under 250 pounds for the first time in years. That's a good 40 pounds lost. Unfortunate side effect, my pants don't fit anymore. If I don't have the belt pulled super tight, they'll literally fall down.
