So, my soon to be 16 year old cat likes to yowl dramatically at nothing. It scared me at first, but since he's been doing this for a couple years now, I'm no longer worried. What's cute is, when he gets caught, he slips into a normal meow, which I've finally managed to catch on video.

I don't know if this is true or not, but supposedly cats do this at the edge of their territory to stake their/keep their claim. My cat gets the zoomies and does this, and I just love it. Your kitty is adorable!

@libris I don't know why they do it. But, I've read a lot of different theories. I could see it being a territory thing though, he gets angry about the dogs getting close to his room. Side note, have I seen your cat?
