So, I've been cooking for me and my dad since I got back. Today he told me that he's eating better than he has in 25 years. Not only is that one of the first times he's said he liked my cooking, but it's honestly one of the nicest things anyone's said about my cooking.
The bandana is necessary, I sweat like crazy, especially cooking. Today I made some chicken strips I marinated in lemon pepper and breaded in panko, and baked potatoes.
The chicken came out nice, juicy inside with a nice crunch on the outside. And today I made dessert. Little pastries made from phyllo dough, stuffed with nutella and cherry preserves.
It's not the most glamorous of meals, but considering it's reception, I felt I should share it here.
