Interesting day yesterday. I was awakened yesterday by the sound of my brother calling. I ignored the call, tried to get a little more sleep before getting up for class, and then my mom calls. Crap. I answer and she angrily asks what I'm doing. I say getting ready to get ready for school, and she says, "can you check on your sister? I kicked her out today and she's supposed to be packing."
Real quick, yes, I still live with the parents, makes going to school a lot easier. And up until yesterday, my older sister lived with us too.
So when she says this all I can do is sit there in silence before uttering an ok and hanging up. So I get up, walk next door and peer into my sister's room. She's passed out on her bed. Apparently she went out Monday night, and got home Tuesday afternoon at 1:30, still drunk. That was the last straw in a long line of drunken stupidity from my alcoholic sister, and they kicked her out. She was going to go stay with my brother, but apparently to make a point my dad took her and dropped her off under the freeway saying if she really wanted to be homeless she was going to be homeless. But he felt bad, turned around, and took her to my brother's place.
My sister has always been their obvious favorite, so now I'm worried. If they finally kicked her out, it's only a matter of time before I'm out on my ass too.
Oh! And let's not forget I almost died on the way home yesterday. Was going about 60 mph, I think that's about 96 kmph to the rest of the world, on the highway. Traffic was flowing nicely, I looked down for about half a second, and when I looked back up suddenly everyone had stopped. Had to slam the breaks, my car came to a screeching halt just inches before slamming into the car in front of me.
Interesting day yesterday. Today was less interesting. Nothing crazy happened, just went to class and gave my presentation. All in all, it went alright.

Yeah, parents can be insane. They always have insane hopes for us and we can never live up to their hopes, no matter how well we do it's never quite enough for them...
Glad to hear you weren't too shaken up, take care.
