I keep seeing all these stray cats outside, and I never saw any down here until about a month ago, and now I've seen half a dozen at least. Usually I'll just see them crossing the street or running into someone's yard from down the block. One I saw up by the capitol when I was with Neil; it was an orange tabby I think, and it couldn't have been more than a year old, but it ran away when it saw us. I just saw the one that Kiki and I saw the morning after we did shrooms. I know that one belonged to someone because there used to be signs up with its picture on it, but now the signs are gone, and I can't get it to come near me anyway. It looks pretty young too. I think my next door neighbors (where Orali used to live, not the fucking party kids on the other side) put out food for the strays, and I wish I hadn't given Kiki all my other cat food so I could've put out a can for this cat. Not that it fucking matters if I did because last time I did put out food, my upstairs neighbors threw it away, because "there are flies in the backyard." Yeah, there are flies in the backyard which is why you keep dumping garbage in the nasty garbage can that has been sitting back there for a year, and you let your dog shit all over the backyard and never pick it up. (I let Pansy go in the front yard, but she eats raw food so I can go out after a couple days and crush her poop up with a stick and then it just works its way into the ground and doesn't attract flies anymore or anything) I'm going to call the Humane Society and Animal Control and see if what they say to do, like if they have cat traps or something, because most of these cats are really young, and even if they weren't, they're going to freeze to death in the winter. It really pisses me off, because this isn't like up north where people clean out there barns every spring, and it doesn't take that much effort to fucking take your cat out to the Humane Society if you don't want it anymore, and not just dump it outside somewhere, *especially* cats that are under a year old, and anyway people know it gets cold here and they know the cats will probably won't last a year outside because of that, besides all the things that can happen. And now I'm moving in a week so I probably won't see this cat anymore, and I'd really like to do something to help it so it can maybe get adopted and won't die out there, and maybe even get it returned to its owner. It makes me so mad that these fucking jackasses can't even be bothered to take their cat out to the Humane Society so someone can try to find it a home, but instead they just dump it somewhere outside. That's how I got Voldie, and the only reason I even got her was because she came up to me and was meowing and rubbing up against me and stuff. I could've never caught her. I hope all these people who let their cats go because they don't want them get really bad karma and get robbed or get syphillis or something awful. Jackasses.
