Goddamit. I woke up and I thought it was raining, but actually, it was just the ceiling over my bed leaking because my neighbor was taking a shower. There's already water damage on the ceiling from a couple years ago. I talked to the girl upstairs and she said she didn't get a lot of water on the floor or anything, so that probably means that something broke. I *really* don't want to have to deal with a leaky ceiling for two weeks. I called my landlord but I don't know if he can do anything about it today so I don't have to keep a bucket on my bed.
---------------2 1/2 hours later-------------
Pat came over to look at it. He thinks either there was some sort of a back up in the pipes or she got water on the floor, because he ran the water upstairs and flushed the toilet and stuff, and it didn't make the ceiling leak again, but he's going to come in on Monday and replace the two water-damaged panels in the ceiling. I never told him I got Voldie, so I'm just like I found this cat, and he's like, "What a pretty cat. (to the cat) Caroline is taking care of you, huh?" He didn't care at all. He's such a great landlord. Whenever I move out of the new place, if I'm still in Madison, I'm going to try to rent from him again.
In other news, I finally emailed my new landlords about Voldie. I really hope they're not going to be assholes and not let me have her. The people there now have two cats, and they let me have Pansy, so logically they wouldn't say no, but you never know. So wish me luck on that.
And, because I almost forgot,
HAPPY 24TH BIRTHDAY, HARRY POTTER!
