That toilet monster thing is freaking me out.
So much slash, so many slash communities, so little time to read it all.
Now I have to finish CS and PoA this week because I found out in one of the lj hp communities (enough abbreviation for you?) that there's a scene in PoA with Snape lying on a bed. HORIZONTAL SNAPE. YES.
I only started reading HP a few weeks ago and up until then I had always been a die-hard LOTR fan but I never read the slash or did any fandom stuff. Then I saw the previews for PoA with Snape walking through the room and then saying, "Turn to pg. 394," and I thought he was totally sexy and started reading the slash and then the books. And I really do like the books, even better than LOTR because it's not all guys and everyone is not carved in stone Good with a capital g and Evil with a capital e, at least not in that overly-done uber moralistic way.
And to tear myself away from HP for a moment, sort of, International Harry Potter Meet Up day is 15 June, but I have stupid summer school class that day so I probably won't be able to go to the one here
Also, I went to get my books for the summer class, but the professor hasn't ordered any, and it didn't say who the professor was online, so now I'm going to have to rush out and buy whatever on the first or second day of class. Also, I need to get back on a more regular sleep schedule (and start sleeping in my bed again instead of on the couch, why I do this I don't know, except partially because spiders tend to crawl on the ceiling over my bed) for school and for work. AND I just realized I can't volunteer Tuesdays 2-6 pm because of my class, so I'm either going to have to switch times or ask Mooi (I don't know how his name is actually spelled but that's the Dutch pronunciation of it, English would be something like "moy") if I can just take a month-long LoA for my class, which would be a lot easier on me in terms of studying. I'm really going to have to focus on this class, since it's only a month long and is four credits, so if I get behind at all I'll be totally fucked, and I really don't need another low grade in a four-credit course.
My friend Anthony who lives in Milwaukee is having a party next weekend. I'm really, really not in the mood for seeing more than one or two people at a time, but I can't very well tell him that I'd rather sit home and read HP slash than go to his party. Hopefully I'll at least be able to get a ride with Neil instead of being jammed in Nate's car with four other people, not to mention the fact that Nate fucking smoked up like four times on the way there last time, while we were driving (going 20 over at least) on the highway, in broad daylight, and we saw at least six cars on people our age pulled over for shit, so I thought it was extra fucking retarded to smoke up then (Nate at least shouldn't have been smoking since he was driving), but seeing as how it wasn't my car and no one agreed with me or would've listened anyway, I didn't say anything, but I'm sure as hell going to avoid any driving with Nate in the future, since he's a fucking dumbass about shit like that. So maybe if Neil doesn't go, I'll have an excuse to stay home, and at least if he does go, it will be more bearable than if it's Cal, Vash, and Nate. And maybe Becky will be there and I can have sex with her again. Hopefully I can drag Neil along to see PoA with me sometime this week after I've finished the books so this last week before summer school won't be a total waste.
