With both good & bad moments, this year has been flying by... the summertide passing by far too fast *sighs*
Feels like there's so much I should've been doing & hadn't gotten the chance to
that for every success, there's something else that falls behind in counter to it
and, of course, summertide never last long enough as it is
part of this is likely since I didn't travel this year, unless you count for my fathre & the funeral at the beginning of the year
...which I don't...
but, hey, there's my upcoming May trip to DC that I'm very much looking forward to !
work's been steady & sometimes a little crazy, but at least it's there & going well & decently
Lodge has been going well now that it's in full once again, and it's been so much more a help than I can even explain
haven't made it to the cinema this year, though that's none too surprising, as there's still that "covid-edge" to local life
locally things are come-and-go semi-insane as particular groups are still trying to be rid of the PD while crime has risen unbelievably
*sighs*
this "new mentality" is a tough bite to chew, the anti-PD rhetoric on hysteric blade's edge, & ignorance rampant
people - including in my apt complex - are purposefully ignoring the laws & daring/threatening anyone to call the PD on them
and, sadly, if you do call the PD they expect people to deal with it themselves first and/or saying they can't resolve it "right now" :(
hopefully things will get back to NORMAL-normal & not this "new normal" bullshit soon, this is just annoyingly idiotic
and - yeah - there are random times that fathre's death hits, just as with my sister's & friends', etc, though far more recent :(

8/16 : gotta stop watching the news in the morning ( beyond the weather report ), shootings, stabbings, theft, arson, & anti-PD protesters ( and that's just from the Fri to this am )
ANYways... laundry, laundry, laundry for vaca morning #3 - so much excitement in my household !
8/18 : alright, half my vaca will be over tonight, what should I do for the rest of it ?! ... this'll be the last vaca for the year ( barring any unfortunate circumstances that may arise due to unforeseen circumstances )
8/22 : as I witnessed a mere 4-5yrs ago, we're in the Era Of Extremism - safety, security, pride, law, etc pushed aside to allow extremism with little-to-no repercussions, criminals upheld as martyrs/heroes *sighs* and the middle looking for legal, for-all solutions abhorred & hated :(
8/30 : [me] : "I could do up to [x]$ a month, depending upon the month"
[response] : "could you do automatic payments of [x * 266.667%]$ a month?"
...wow... really ?!?
9/21 : *sighs* saddening but not entirely surprising to return home from work to discover someone had torn down the non-smoking signage around the complex once again - they'd just replaced the signage 6-9mths ago after someone had torn THOSE down :(
9/22 : I've a Felix mind stuck in an Oscar body, with my apt a transitional mix of each
9/23 : Never sleep well or long when it gets cold/temps drop (time to bring out space heater already?) + wth?!? dreamage - on a roadtrip with a cousin I haven't seen in years, witnessing accident after accident with, before I awoke, a truck striking a truck just before a massive bridge
...and, yes, I swear I'm the only person I know who sleeps better & longer when the temps are warmer, I wake up continually when it's cold & temps drop *shivers*

9/24 : Controversial Statement : you DON'T expect to pass something named after a controversial figure with an offensive past you want ignored WHILE destroying monuments & removing names of historical, honourable people because their actions represent a time period offensive to you...
10/2 : multiple dreamages throughout last night - each one had someone passed in it, including one where Jax was now an intense but still smiling & lovely, pale with a couple wrinkles, businesswoman with her hair pulled back :) (( <3 ))
