...no, not an ill-educated misspelling but a purposeful wording
and essentially [effectively?] mocking the ill-educated rants of "rouge angles of satin" & similar idiocies that arise from the purposefully ignorant around xtian holidays & post-tragedies
plus, s'been awhile, so figured it was about time for one of my blasphematic postings :)
no surprise in the wake of recent tragedies that the 'biblically-armed' & god-spewing haters-of-all-but-themselves are riding this wave...
on both sides of the political extreme & pro-/anti-constitutional rights game *sighs*
...thankfully my opinions are varied - by personal experience & studies of history, so I don't fall into any political spectrum
though I do lean depending on the subject matter at hand, but the leanings are never the same direction *laughs*
growing up polish catholic, attending multiple roman catholic churches, I got out as quick as I was able ( mid-teens, so took awhile )
polish catholic is like roman catholic with a side order of fries... only there's NO fries & they added racism for 'flavour'
from those I've met/known in/from poland, it's a strictly US-offshoot - go figure *sighs*
I was booted out of sunday school for, simply, asking questions
thankfully the church's father (that's priest to you not educated in catholicism) allowed me to spend time in his VERY-large 'home'-portion of the church building during sunday school
seriously - his 'home' had an entire library, a kitchen you'd see in a restaurant, & high-ceiling'd rooms... though no doors other than the entry door, so no privacy ?
father Lommel was an intelligent, presumably educated, & entertaining man - who passed in '08, though I hadn't seen him in decades at that point
- and, surprisingly, one of the first people to straight out tell me to Question & Don't Stop Questioning, It's How One Learns
( this after being booted from their sunday school for doing just that! )
somehow I doubt there are many xtians - let alone of the catholic offshoot - who are told by their leadership to Question! & Learn!
and Learn I did, quite quickly - later proven by theological studies of multiple religions in my 20s & 30s, including a couple of "tries" in differing belief systems
I learned that the majority of the 'major' religions ::
1) stem from the same source - which they all pretty much ignore & refute, despite historical proof... particularly the abrahamic belief systems which have so many branches it's almost untrackable !
2) refuse to acknowledge science "because [their bible] says [otherwise]" ... purposeful ignorance at its worst *sighs* ...sadly some of my relatives fall into this category :(
3) refuse disproof (for the most part - the 'church' has admitted multiple disprovances, but has refused to change under varying excuses )
4) are - quite seriously - nothing more than overgrown cults... that's to say, by their own definitions of what a cult is that's precisely how they started out !!
5) are ripe with cover-ups & bad decisions - including paedophelia & rape ... sorry, but it's not just xtianity, kids, all the majors have done this - AND in recent times !
6) refuse to 'change with the times,' even when they say they are ( hilariously! ) - their internal rules, laws, etc are very much a sign of the times of their inception or break-off from their initial cult/church
7) have the same things "hidden" in their bibles that they claim their 'opposing religions' are "hiding" ( refer to 'stem from the same source' & it becomes obvious, no matter how it's reworded )
8) are not the belief system(s) they claim to be - frighteningly so & quite sadly... their self-definitions they are definitely not - assuming, of course, they ever were & it wasn't nothing more than a way to get people to join their cult/church
9) at least, the 'one-true-god' abrahamic types, hate each other AND hate their own offshoots/spawnings ... it's deliriously absurd how roman catholics are hated by/hate lutherans who are hated by/hate baptists who are hated by/hate universalists who are hated by/hate 7th day adventists [etc etc]
10) don't adhere to their own rules, laws, etc - or will come up with some absurd religio-magick to resolve it ( e.g. "go to confession and ALL sins are cleared for the week!" )
11) purposefully? ingore the multitude of mistranslated & varying versions of their bibles available -( e.g. 'jesus' is actually a mistranslated word - they should be talking about 'j' as in 'joshua,' 'jesus' isn't even a real word/name )
12) purposefully? ignore - in some cases - that their god[s] have a name... ask most xtians the name of their god and they'll just say "god" with a dumbfounded look - while this does derive from their belief's original belief that to say the name was offensive, it's just absurd that they never learned it in the 1st place !
ANYways, so on and so forth and other utter absurdities...
and, aye, some of these are similar points with little variance - I can admit that - and, sorry/not-sorry, but you'll never "convert me" to ANYthing that I've studied - let alone up-close-and-personal !
so, aye, I'm kinda-anti-religion in that I abhor most of these 'major' religions & their idiocy/inanity/purposeful ignorance/bullshit-spewing
I keep thinking someday I'll find a belief system that's Trustable and fits my personal beliefs, too...
but somehow... I doubt it
so until then I'll continue to call myself an "unusualist" and - of course - that I AM a god
( without telling the easily offended what I'm a god OF... unless they ask, in which case I'll say it with Pride! )
and I'll continue to mock beliefs and their believers ( mostly the purposefully ignorant, if you couldn't tell by now :) )
maybe it'll eventually knock a little of the nonsense out of their skulls & they'll actually look at their religion from other than an inside, can-do-no-wrong POV
( there are a select few I do not mock, because they have proven to me they chose their beliefs/religion for the right reason - even if it's an unsound choice of selection
but I will most vehemently mock those who "chose" their beliefs/religion for no other reason than they were "raised that way" *sad laugh* - poor deluded souls :( )

unusualist - I have yet to find a religion and/or spirituality that fits my own personal beliefs... other than, of course, the fact I am a (fallen) god.
( y'just now figured out that I'm basically a non-practicing hedonist? "if it feels good, do it, if it feels bad, you're doing it wrong" )
( "I believe in the proven power of willpower and the truth we are the gods we created. No one being created this universe and its wonders." )
( "the words of wisdom I follow will be the words I've written myself based on the life and experiences that I have Lived, Enjoyed, & Survived" )
( "may the platelets of justice travel the bloodstream of villainy, clog its arteries with honourable vengeance, and induce a coronary of truth" )
( "we are all inmates in the same asylum, some of us are just better at bribing the guards" )
( "In a previous life I was the engine block to a '56 chevy, I lost my heart to a Volkswagen Bus... er, wait - or was that a '57?" )
( "Godfuck Me, Jesus!" )
"Lately, we've been playing music by this chap named Bieber, gosh, you should hear the screams"
"Just fear me, love me, do as I say, and I will be your slave..."
"Oh, man. I'm sensing something very canadian about this place..."
"It's all true, god's an astronaut, Oz is over the rainbow, and Midian is where the monsters live..."
Jax : "yay for you, do you want a cookie or a bozo button?"
