It's America's 239th B'day, the weather is warmer than warm, it's a 3day weekend - of which this 2nd day is spinnin' by pretty fast, been pissin' people off while befriending others...
basically, a usual year in my life + one :)
the world itself is as confused as ever, with people not understanding how simple and beautiful the world can be if they'd just look and see...
as freedom's progress for some, hatred progresses in others - go figure, silly friggin' humans.
BUT the world continues to spin along no matter what us silly humans do
I survived another year of beautiful chaos and chaotic beauty as my spawnlings get older and more entertaining to be around week-to-week *grins*
aye, the more even I understand, the crazier the world seems to get... and the smaller.
and I admit, I love it - what would be the point, otherwise. if you truly hate the world, it's about time you get off, 'k?
hells, even the one neighbour lady who usually seems kinda down and dowdy was just leaving the building with her son and said a quick "Hi," dressed to the 9s and lookin' good!
if that ain't a good sign, I don't know what is *laughs*
seriously, though - I love seeing people smile and always have... and people who know me know that I'm a great sounding board and that I'll do my best to get a smile and a laugh out of those whom I feel deserve and/or need it :)
and I'm usually successful, too - I can normally make the most pained and disturbed/bothered people smile and/or laugh, even if most for a moment.
just take a look outside - for as beautiful as the world can be, it can be demned silly, too... but that's why I love it.
ANYways... I'm gonna relax, continue to drink more Menage a Trois Midnight, watch another flick (or two), and consider what laundry I'll have to try t'do tomorrow (hey, I got one load done today, that's not bad, neh?).
Much love, to my lovelies and gentlefolk, and remember that Life is about Living! <3
a week's worth of twits :
6/26 :
someone asked "what will you do if a guy hits on you?" I've been hit on by guys at least twice a year since '01, so same as I always do...
I'll smile but politely decline by telling them, sorry, I'm a breeder, but thanks very much for the compliment (or similar) - usually works
6/27 :
"hit on by guys 2x year but by girls 5x in 14 years? That makes you gay, dude."
You really don't understand sexual orientation, do you?
6/29 :
I timed that nigh perfectly - little bits of hail start fallin' as I'm opening the door out of the rain - lightning crackling like a whip!
6/30 :
just don't have the incentive/drive this mornin' to take a mornin' walk - not even to Caribou... *stretches* SO did not want to get up...
7/1 :
so... we've made it nearly halfway through the year. now what? ;)
hells, I'm wonderin' more what I'm gonna do with a 3day weekend...
7/2 :
14yrs ago this morning, my sister died, leaving a hole in my life for many years...
BUT, if there's anything I have learned from the deaths in my life - particularly that of Jax, who was so important to my life - it's that Life is about Living. if you dwell on death and loss, you will never have the chance to truly Live - which, from the last conversation I had with my sister, I know is what she would want, if not demand.
she remains in memory, oh-so wonderful memory, but I do not dwell and continue to Live my Life as we are meant to.
7/4 :
mmm-kay... 3 miles is good (for now) - she's a wee bit on the warm side this bleedin' afternoon *grins*
hope everyone's enjoyin' their 4th!
7/4 II :
in honour of America's 239th, I'm doing laundry, drinking Menage a Trois Midnight in a plastic cup, and watching a bad apocalypse comedy
