Well, the world is going to hell in a handbasket. So there I was, ready for my final day of work before two blissful days of rest, when I walked into my store. The district manager, and the head of loss prevention were in the store. A friend of mine, whom is the the manager of one of the other stores in our company, was there as well. Now, the run down of events as they unfolded to me.
1) The current (now former) manager, informed me that today was his last day, and that my buddy, Sean, would be taking over as manager.
2) My good friend Justin, who was the assistant manager, was fired for not showing up. Last night, he was at work drunk, and was sent home by the district manager. Today, he was released.
3) Angi, our other supervisor, was beyond being late. She was written up.
4) Wendy, the head of loss prevention, informed me that there was $7000.00 missing from a deposit a few days ago. Appearently, the bank recieved the bags torn, and the cash deposits (3 of the 5 bags), had had the money removed from them. Prime suspect? Angi.
Me? Well, I'm still around. I might get promoted to assistant manager to fill the void left by Justin. I could really use the money, but I doubt I'd get the position. Aside from being there for more than a year, knowing the store like the back of my hand, being willing to cover any and all shifts, what reason would they have to give the position to me? Brian (former boss), had put in a good word for me with the district manager (who happens to hire asst. managers). Sean did so as well. Brian also informed the DM that if I wasn't given a promotion or a raise, that I'd quit. Honestly, he's right.
Well, with all this happening, I realized that next week (starts tomorrow, thursday), I'll be working 56 hours. 8 Holiday pay, and 8 for the other 6 days. Not too shabby, but it's kinda shitty that I only get one day off. Oh well. Think of the money. Think of the money.
In other news, I talked to my older sister. Her and her husband have just bought a new house in southern maryland. It's a 15 acre plot of land with a rinky dink house sitting square in the middle of it. I dunno. May just be a fools investment if ya ask me.
Well, for anyone that stumbles along this, I bid you a Merry Christmas. Now, I'm off to be with my bottle of Captain Morgan.

As far as tattoo artists go, I travel OUT of Maryland to get worked on. Wish I had a closer artist to tell you about.
I am always on the look out for a new artist who lives closer than my other friends, but haven't found anyone yet.
