Well, the old suicide inducing job is beginning to take it's toll on it's core members (people that have been there for a year or more). The manager is quitting come new years. The assistant manager, and a dear friend of mine, is going through withdrawl, since he's trying to quit drinking. The store's been filled to the brim with customers (which I guess is a good thing, except for us employees). Everyone's on the verge of nervous breakdowns (or have already had them). It's a mess. Let me say this. If you ever, for some god awful reason have the urge to work for spencer gifts, allow me to give you this piece of advice. Don't. Turn around, and walk out before you even attempt to grab an application.
Tonight, we didn't get out of work until 11:45pm. I have to be back at the store at 7:30am to open it up for 8. Then, on Monday, I get to work 7 hours by myself, since I open again at 7:30am, and no one comes it until 3. The assistant manager was supposed to come in and help, but, tonight he informed me that he wasn't coming in...that he "needed time off" from the store. What the fuck is that? We all need time off from the store! But, as always, I'll suck it up and do it anyway. Of course, I hope the company understands that if anyone who's supposed to be in at 3 calls in late....I'm going to kill them.
But, enough ranting about work. I just have to wake up in 5 hours to go back to it.
AOL's been a real bitch to deal with lately. They drew $360.00 on my checking accout, which sent it into the negative. I was unaware that they were going to do this, and every purchase that I made thereafter, hit me with an overdraw charge, thus sending my account to a whopping -$524.25. Well, I went back and forth between my back and AOL at least 12 times. AOL finally agreed to give back the $360 they charged, but refused...yes, refused, to pay for the overdraw charges. The bank (PNC), said, and I quote, "The bank will not refund this money. It is AOL's responsibility to cover these charges, since it is their fault that your account went overdrawn." I called AOL and told them this, and still they denied me. So, I may be fucked out of $210 bucks before all this is said and done. I dunno. I never liked AOL in the first place. This $360 appearently came on, when I "clicked a pop up add" (AOL operator said this to me), and "signed up for broadband". So they're basically telling me, that since I clicked an add because I was mildly interested to see what it was all about, they took it upon themselves to give me a service that I can't use, and charge me to the fullest that they can. If the bank can't sort this out, I'm hiring a lawyer. Basically, what they did is a form of fraud. This measly $210 that they're refusing to pay, in the end, can cost them quite a small fortune (at least to me it's a fortune). We'll see.
But...it's late. Physically I'm still alive. Mentally I'm brain dead.
