So I have been re-reading the entire Dune series since Frank Herbert's son Brian had found his notes in a safe deposit box and is finishing the series. He even wrote some real good preludes. If you have never read the series I highly recommend it. Besides being some of the best sci-fi ever written he tackled a lot of social issues along with adding a lot of philisophical stuff. Very deep books if you take the time to sort out all of his writing. On the other hand they are also very difficult books to read if you are not an avid reader. He tended to write a few levels above the average person.
