Today is the Mardi Gras Parade and Gumbo Festival here in Manitou Springs. It's been going on for well over 10 years, but this will be my first time. I'm going to try and meet up with this girl I've known since Jr. High, but lately I've become extremely interested in.
She seems genuinely flattered by my intentions, but is just coming off a divorce and not ready to be with anyone just yet. I don't mind. Honestly, I kinda feel like this may be the girl I've waited my whole life for, so I don't mind waiting a bit longer. I just really hope I don't fuck it up. You all would love her. I think she would love y'all. She's very warm and caring, dynamic and active, all around a really really really good person. And very hott with two ts I might add. Her ethnicity is half Hispanic and half Japanese... sounds lovely, doesn't it?
The hard part. How do I keep from becoming the lovable teddy bear close friend, which is my curse? I want to keep my interest in her visible, and yet I don't want to be pushy. I very much suck at starting relationships... Why oh why can't she just attack me? ;-)
