Holy Shite, It's after 1am already?
I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Just got back from the Ranch. Amazing, just shy 15 miles from my front door, which is real close to downtown, and it's a world away. Well, sadly there are a ton and I mean a ton more lights out there than there were just a few years ago. Colorado is growing way to fucking fast. Still it was great to get a good veiw of the stars.
Watched the Kilborn show for a bit while I was out there. Everlast was playing and I wanted to see if Josh "Larry" Lopez was on guitar. It was hard to be certain but I think it was him. Had a baseball cap pulled low and the camera never gave a good close veiw. It's nice to see good musicans I've known and grown up with (sorta) out doing their thing on a national or world scale. I remember seeing him in Rolling Stone when he was backing Nikka Costa and feeling famous by proxy. ;-)
Prior to my ranch duties I played one of the hardest, chippiest hockey games I've had yet. Got the shit beat out of me... But I gave as good as I got. ;-) Spent some time in the penalty box. "Felt shame... like some English pig-dog without a brain in my head" to quote jah goalie from Slapshot. Not true tonight though... While it sucks to be the guy putting your team at a two minute disadvantage, this guy had it coming. However, when you retaliate for stuff that's not called, you usually end up in the bin. That's what happend. It was fun though. Game ended in a tie. At the end of it all ,the dude I had battled most with was laughing it up with me. Nice to see. Some of the other guys on my team still wanted to beat his ass, but they take this way too serious. It's not like NHL scouts are trolling the Adult Novice Hockey League at Colorado College for this year's hottest draft pick. Strangely this guy was on our team last session and half our team wanted to beat his ass even then.
Sitting here eating some scruptious strawberries as I type this. Very sweet and succulent. Which makes me think... Hey shicawgo and seaceeme, know how Colorado is kinda in the middle between California and Illinois? It would be a great meeting place for y'all come and see if the three of us couldn't come up with the best-est ever Penthouse Letter for the Letters Forum. Just a thought. ;-)
Welp gonna run and catch some sleepy-tai-poo. G'night y'alls!
Shit... now it's after two.... damn journals.. One day, I say one day Yahweh as my witness I'll be asleep... asleep mind you... before midnight. I'm not holding me breath though.
