Snow day! Got a call early this morning from my supervisor... no work today! Turns out the weather was not that bad and snowy like they thought... which bums me out... I wanted FEET!
So a buddy of mine I work with came over with his newlywed and took me out for some some of the best Chinese food known to this planet. That Dragon Gate is only a few blocks away should, should I say should raise property values around here by like triple... but the world hasn't caught on yet. Za Gate!
After lunch a lovely little walk with the boys at Garden o da Gods with another friend and his ma. That place is heaven on earth... is the nature version of Dragon Gate.
Then went to the ice rink a little bit down from the gate and fucked around at the Sticks N Pucks for an hour. This is a good thing as my only practice time comes when I'm in a game... which is not the time to learn how to shoot.
Movies. Have a shite load of DVDs to watch. For Netflix I have Ghost World (which I don't remember what that's about) and The Mission Director's Cut. I'm stoked! Great soundtrack by Ennicio Morrione (sp?). Last time I saw it, I was getting a hand job on the couch from my first girlfriend. I"ll touch it during the film in her honour. ;-) Should have a third Netflix DVD but for the life of me can't remember what it is. Just bought: Ben Stiller Show... Yeah! Used Pulp Fiction Collectors Edit... DTS baby! Also picked up another in the Classic Albums series. This one on Dark Side of the Moon. Classic Albums takes an old album like (Paul Simon Graceland, U2 Joshua, Dead American Beaut, Hendrix Ladyland, Steely D Aja, and so on... and breaks down the recording of the album. They assemble the musicians, the engineers, producers, photographers... whom ever and relive the recording. I love it when the engineers take the master tapes and isolate certain tracks and show you the subtle details or out takes.
Same buddy of mine who bought me lunch today brought over a VCD ripped from a Girls Gone Wild episode. Some chick he used to know up in WI is on it in her own feature rubbing herself to orgasm outdoors. She's this skinny little Heroin junkie who you can tell is blasted. (I'm going to wait till I'm old and decreped to try all the sweet drugs I'm too scared to try now.) For some reason this girl is really getting me hot. I think I have issues. Maybe enough to start my own magazine stand. ;-)
Music: Getting into Coheed and Cambria.. no take that back been deeply into them for a bit now. Picked up recently... New Modest Mouse... incredible. Nina Simone greatest hits comp... eh.. I bet there are better Nina comps... Staples Singers doing Curtis Mayfield songs for a mid 70's blaxploitation film featuring Bill Cosby and Sidney Poitier.. Stevie Wonder Innervisions... classic that I've had ripped but never owned the disc. Then today I picked up an English import box set of Massive Attack Singles from 90-98. Haven't checked it out yet. Has about 8 discs. Sweet box.
peas y'all.

And I'm completely guilty of exactly what you were talking about with the Swan. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
I'm HUGE into J5. They are the greatest. That is the hip hop that has had me for the past few years. Can't get enough of them.
I'm totally down for a G of the G meeting . . . I'm all for having a picnic and playing some frisbee. I'm sure my fiance is ready to see a different side of the Spgs, so that would be rad!
