Nine stripes done. Not enough. If only I could knit on the plane. I don't see how plastic knitting needles are any more dangerous than the plastic cutlery they let you eat with, but I guess they're not letting them on the plane.
Jacket has advanced only slightly.
Dress not at all.
Another activity planned for the drive up to PAX. Jinx asked a friend in Oregon what places of interest in the area were worth visiting. He suggested Fry's. The sad part is that that actually sounds rather appealing to myself and Mr Witnit.
I will probably have my geek card revoked for admitting this but fuck it: I'm so sick of fucking round with drivers/rebuilding kernels/tweaking configs I'm almost ready to give up. I like linux a lot...WHEN IT WORKS. I just want to play on the 'net from the couch - I don't want to spend the evening messing round with this stupid wireless adapter.
Mr Witnit says I should just give up and get a Mac laptop. I'm sure that would get support from certain parties around here too, but it just seems so extravagant. Still, they do what I want. Plus the little 12" iBooks are so cute and nicely handbag sized, which would be good if I owned a handbag.
Maybe one day I will weaken but for now I'm going to swear and curse at the existing machine a bit more.
