First day was really good....very chilled out people...
The company is only about 10 stong, it's a spin off from the univeristy of surry...they do biometrics - facial recognition, image processing...that kinda thing. It's good to be working with academics again, I found my last job a bit soul destroying...the new job is harder to get to and pays slightly less, but it feels like I made the right choice.
I'm semi-kicking myself...sat next to this angel on the train on the way back...we shared a few smiles when some guys mad mobile phone went off and played this really funny indian chanting music....
As the train pulled in to my station she checked me out when I got up and said "you smell amazing"...I thanked her and we chatted a bit, she smiled lots and touched her hair...gaaaaaa I didn't know whether to give her my number or not, I just didn't wanna seem like one of those desperate guys who confuse genuine friendliness with a come-on...10 minutes more like that and I would have...but after 3 minutes of chat it seemed a bit seedy...on the one hand it feels like I did the right thing, on the other hand I'd hate to think she wanted me to make a move and I didn't....opinions?
