Had an excellent few days! Thanks for all the nice messages, very encouraging!
So...I went to my first 8thday event on thursday night....bloody brilliant. It was a ferris bueller theme party in a nice bar in fulham. Met some really, really lovely people...just every day guys and girls who wanna make loads of friends and have a good time.
The contrast is massive to how people normally are in london. When I worked in the US and every time I've visited I could walk in to a bar and be chatting away to people all night...even get invited to parties and bbqs. I don't know if thats normal for the US or whether my accent just makes people wanna talk more. London is the total opposite...people pretty much keep to themselves...and you'd *never* go to a bar by yourself.
So it was refreshing to go out in london and for the people to have pretty much the same attitude as me....
Wor...some of the women I met were lovely too! Hahaha, even got a massage out of it
Future 8thday events....got a wine tasting lesson in hyde park next week...a bit of archery perhaps and a massive party in the park next weekend. weeeee bring it on!
A funny day yesterday....I resigned from my job....had to do the whole leaving interview malarky...hahaha, the funny thing is though that the guy who was supposed to give the interview was in a meeting until after lunch....I went down the pub at lunch time with my mates to celebrate and didn't crawl back til 3....then had to do the interview pissed...I get very passionate when I'm drunk hahahaha...I didn't quite get to the point where I started crying and thanking god....but..well...it was funny. Mind you, I was pissed during my original interview for the job too so it was probably the right thing.
As for my feelings about my ex....pah...I think I was just going through a silly few days...am back to normal now...
