Hi guys, I'm Pixie!
I'm a Canadian model, now living in Rome, Italy, and my story begins quite a while back...
Eight years ago I started modelling, working in the fashion industry, shooting editorial, beauty, catalogue, runway...all that classic jazz. However, the fashion industry, while very fun, is not without its downfalls, and after five years in that industry I sadly had fallen quite ill with bulimia. I "quit" modelling, intending that to be a permanent choice, to give myself time to recover and get back on track. However, after just six months off I already realised how much I missed it! I knew though, that getting back into fashion would be too risky for me, and so I tried to think of alternatives.
I had already been involved in the fetish scene for a few years at this point, attending smaller local events like Sin City Fetish Night in Vancouver. While I already adored the people and community, I had never really considered becoming a fetish model, since the more traditional hyper-sexualized posing and expressions just aren't really my cup of tea. I thought, however, why not try to blend my own favourite style of posing and expressions adopted from the mainstream fashion industry, and see how they go over in the latex industry? I had no idea if it would catch on or not, but five years later, with the title of UK Top Fetish Model under my belt, I think it's safe to say that it worked out!
I feel so lucky every day to have found a way to pursue the career that I love, while avoiding the aspects of the industry that are too risky for me and my health. Though I do intend to continue to focus on developing what I am calling "fetish fashion" as a niche market, I am thrilled to also finally begin my journey with SuicideGirls. I have been considering giving it a go for a while now, but was never sure how well it would pair with my other modelling work, especially since I am signed to a few agencies. However, I have finally got that logistic side of things under control, and an SO EXCITED to get started!
