Hi Blog
Happy New Year to all of you here at SG!!! To all you lovely ladies; SGs, hopefuls, friends, and members, have a wonderful weekend and holiday and stay safe. I wish you all the very best for 2012!
I am posting a drawing I did for Juturna and a painting I just finished that is for my counseling mentor. I just have a few small things to do to the foreground of the painting, but had to post it now as it will be the last piece I work on for 2011! It is of Lake Champlain and its the first sunset picture Ive ever done in over 40 years of creating art.
Speaking of creating art, I plan on getting back into the groove and drawing ladies portraits here. I have no idea what I was thinking when I decided to curtail that workI mustve been NUTS!!! I know I made MANY promises to draw people here friends and I feel as though Ive let so many people down. Well, I am going to try and get to everyone on my friends list as quickly as possible. I have other artwork (landscapes, etc) I will post, but Im going to focus on portrait work as much as possible.
On another, personal note, my dad died New Years Eve and in the past I hated the thought of the day and the memories. But now I think its time to put the pain behind me and remember the sweetness of who he was and what he meant to me as my father and a man. He wouldve loved this site because the people here fight for their individuality and defy convention. He was the same way, always living his life according to his own rules. He taught me many things; most of all to enjoy life and not sweat the small stuffI think I need to listen to those lessons. One lesson I learned is to rely on ones self and be a spiritual personto make my own magick. I have neglected practicing my spiritual path too long, but from now on I will be a much better son of my Goddess.
So, enjoy life love, live happy, and stay safe my loveliesI love and care about ALL of you so much.
