Hi Blog,
Here is a better, cleaner pic of my watercolor of Parker. I sent her one yesterday, but noticed a smudge and some severe shading that didnt look good so I had to make those corrections and repost it here.
I have had quite a few weeks. The emotional rollercoaster has stopped and I am off it for goodI think! I have finally come to terms with most of the issues of bullying from my childhood and early adolescence. The therapist I am working with is excellent. I think I am learning just as much about being a counselor as I am working on my own stuffa requirement after all for any good counselor. I had the last class of my last official class in my school counseling program. Provided nothing earth-shattering happens from now until May, I will graduate (and even play the pipes for my own ceremony!) with a masters in school counseling and get my license in June. From that point on it will be more work to get my board certification as an art therapist, but that is years down the roadfor now I want to sleep and not take a class or write a paper for at least one semester!
Over the next few weeks I am going to do all my reflection work here. I have to document 50 hours worth as one of the licensing requirements so I figured, Blog, you might as well hear it all from my earliest recollections as a little kid. I expect I will cry through writing most of it, but that is therapy in itself.
I have told this to a few friends hereyou know who you lovelies are! one is an Angel (appropriately named), one is outrageous and of my heritage, several are new friends - ALL of you, whether I write to you all the time and reveal my darkest secrets, or I write occasionally and just shoot the breezeALL of you here are my family, my loves. Without you I wouldnt be here, I wouldve packed it in long ago. For you, and for me, and for the children I try to help and guideand BECAUSE of you, I am a stronger, wiser, healthier person. I love you all so very much, you will always and forever have my heart.
