In Terms of Movement...

Wow... So things _are_ apparently starting over again. I
have heard quite a few I- realized- I -was- into- girls- when- I- had
a- crush- on- my- dance- teacher- stories...

So today I started my bran-spanking (yum...spanking) new
modern dance class. The dance teacher was taking role
and talking about the class while crouching, sitting and
crawling around on the floor like a cat in a black unitard.

GAWD!

I even went out and experienced the serious former
dancer saleslady who gave me advice on what skin-tight
outfits to wear to class.

Damn why haven't I done this before ?!

It's going to be a whole semester of movement for me as the
next class up tomorrow is neural models of movement!
Yay!

Shit, even my first goth outing in a while this wed... oh yes!

and i'll tell ya who rules. it's sade. lover's rock gets me eeeeeevery time. i wish i had a husky voice instead of a squeaky one...

Hey to you too...so glad to hear you're doing something new and fun (isn't glad a funny word?) I love poking fun at really bad "conceptual dance", but when modern dance is really good, it's sublime. I just saw a beautiful piece performed here in Toronto before Christmas, the movements were so perfect I can't even begin to describe it...sort of rooted in ballet, but with a really pared down aesthetic, and very sensual. The enormous stage was beautifully lit, had a gauzy curtain hung horizontally across the top like a canopy, and it "snowed" lightly the entire performance. I really lost myself in that one.
