So we're going on a float trip this weekend, and camping along the river.

I just found out that some of our camping party is bringing a propane tank and grill.

THATS NOT FUCKING CAMPING.

I really wish that I wouldn't wear my insecurities on my sleeve so much. It's embarrassing.

I wish I wasn't so easily embarrassed.

I think that's something a lot of people wish for. I know I do sometimes. Usually helps me to remember that in the end this person's opinion doesn't really matter. Even if that person does seem important, you can always find something else, and someone better.

*shrug*

Yeah, its funny. There are a lot of people that I just don't give a shit about, and then there are some that I fall all over myself trying to be "cool" in front of. Its really ridiculous, and I need to stop. biggrin

I feel pathetic, desperate, and embarrassed.

Briefly, anyway.

I've always thought that it was odd that people define themselves so much by their music. So often, people are pidgeon-holed by their music (or either their pidgeon-hole determines the music that they like). Fan followings for music groups sometimes come close to cult status.

I've always had a pretty eclectic music taste, never really had a "favorite genre" or felt a strong allegiance to...

when I take pictures of myself, I look really ugly. I dont know how these SGs do it.

ETA: Okay, so I was overreacting. My self image isn't always so great, and neither is my photography. And good lighting makes a big difference. smile

After that, we headed over to the Old Monk for drinks and got a table outside on the patio... and it was gorgeous outside! Cindy stopped by while were were...

Back in Tulsa again today... the drive was much nicer with my boyfriend with me. We played with our playlist for the new years party... its 1/3rd done.

Here's what we've got so far (its still in editing mode). We've got to appeal to a wide variety since it is certainly a multi-generational party, and I've been given a hiphop restriction by the older folks....

I don't think they were exhibitionists ~ as soon as they noticed I was watching, they looked embarrassed and scurried away...

Still at home in Tulsa for the holidays.

Was supposed to call my room mate from college to hang out this afternoon, but my social anxiety took over for my better judgement, and so I stayed at home, knitted, and watched "The Pacifier" with my mom instead. Its so much easier that way.

We're going to the Christmas Eve service at my old church tonight......
