hello.
it seems another month has passed and i have again decided to write something here. just every once in awhile you know. so, in june my membership to suicide girls ends. it seems malloreigh had been paying for it and i didn't know so i paid her back and have decided that this website is not worth $25 every three months for me. i don't use it often enough and the people that i do talk to here i also talk to more frequently through other websites. so in june i will be gone.
also in june i will be gone from this city. i am leaving vancouver to go on tour with my friend aaron. he plays music under the name honeybear. you should click that and listen to his music. he will be heading out of california in mid june and i am either going to meet him there or in oregon and we shall travel to calgary/edmonton. hopefully i can be in calgary for the sled island festival and visit one of my best friends there for a bit. then i will ride share to winnipeg to visit another friend there and will end my travels in halifax. i met a girl out here in vancouver who is from sudbury and spends most of her time in halifax. she has a studio there that she will be letting me stay at. she's also going to hook me up with friends down there that make zines and books and just art in general. i was thinking about getting a bartending job there until i spoke to someone at my work who knows of a cafe in halifax called two if by sea. if you live in halifax and know of this cafe tell me a bit more about it maybe? they carry 49th parallel coffee which is fantastic! [at least their recent yirgacheffe and sidamo were, ugh... such a coffee snob]
anyway this is the plan. halifax for the summer and maybe longer. i'm going to sell off a bunch of my things here, maybe have some sort of backyard garage sale and then i will sublet my room while i'm gone and will possibly return in the autumn and if things are going well there i may move there for quite some time. who knows. i'm excited to get out of vancouver though, i will miss a lot of my friends, and the pacific of course but this trip is going to be good for me i think. i will be able to get work done in the studio plus meet some new creative folks and i will most likely get to see the east coast of the united states, go to new york, portland maine, and hopefully detroit. i can also see the maritimes! ah, i want it to be june now!
i have been creating a lot of work recently. i had two drawings in the house show, a show about houses in a house at flatland which is my friends place. the work in that show was incredible and they plan to do another show in may based on the theme of ghosts. i have also applied for the cheaper show. we'll see if i get into that one. it's hard to get in because of the sheer amount of people that apply but we shall see. i find out on april third.
other than that i have been using my blog quite a bit. i have been taking a lot of photographs recently and also writing stories and poems. i've also been drawing a tonne, i feel a bit stressed about it all but also fantastically productive as well. it's been nice.
my three hundred and sixty five days project is going well. almost at day two hundred and i somehow haven't missed a day yet -knock on wood- [soon i will be getting a pro account so you can see all the photographs] you can also see all the other photographs i have been taking there.
i have deleted my tumblr so you can't view that anymore. it's quite a relief not having it! far too distracting.
i feel like there was something else i wanted to say but i cannot for the life of me remember.
pretty much things are swell.
how have you all been in the past month?

Your plans sound lovely. If you're ever down around Washington, DC and want to go on an adventure I would gladly accompany you.
