I am so grateful to live in a city, county, and state that elected leaders who value good governance, put the needs of the many ahead of the demands of the few, who listen to scientists and experts.

I am so grateful that I can trust them, and look to them for leadership in a terrifying time.

It's a tragedy that my country doesn't have...

We have been isolated for over a week now in my province and our line is flatting

Couldn't agree more, @wilwheaton!  I'm fortunate as well to live in a state that has strong leadership and the experts are heard and believed.  Stay safe out there!

My friend, Will Hindmarch, is a brilliant writer and game designer. He's one of the smartest people I know, and his weekly newsletter always challenges and inspires me.

In this week's newsletter, he talks about playing a videogame called CONTROL, which by coincidence, I began playing over the weekend.

I wanted to share some thoughts here that I shared with Will privately, because I'm interested...

I actually 100% Control @wilwheaton and yes it is hard but I'm happy I stuck with it cause it is an awesome game with a very complex story with a lot of metaphors in them. That's basically Remedy Entertainment style, their all about metaphor storytelling and their really good at it. Been a big fan of theirs since Max Payne. And one of my favourite games of all time is Alan Wake. I think you'll like that one Wil, it's not too hard but it has a really awesome story that takes a lot of influence to Stephen King's work & The Twilight Zone. It's so good. I recommend that. And yeah I'm with you on Dark Souls, it's way too hard. I actually give up on it since it was so hard lol. Anyway good blog, it was a good read mate!

I am so excited to share the next chapter of my professional life with all of you!

Gamemaster is going to be so fun, so positive, so inclusive! I'm so excited to bring the love, enthusiasm, and camaraderie that was so integral to Tabletop to the video game world.

...and can I just take a moment for myself?

Dear 12 year-old Wil: One day, your...

congrats man! I was always wondering when that type of show was gonna be made. Also enjoying your Picard post episode overview. I was wondering if Wesley makes an appearance in the future as well.

Congrats Wil! I loved Tabletop, & will be looking forward to this show.

TRIGGER WARNING: ABUSE

I want to show you something from Tumblr.

I read a post that says:

//Talking about abuse and trauma isn’t just “whining”. Talking about it, uncovering it and outing abusers should contribute to stopping and ending abuse. Every time you say out loud what abusers have done to you, not only there will be people who will relate and gain courage to...

You have nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed about. Abusers have way of making their target feel that way. I understand and had the exact same feelings. It took some time but I decided I will not let that hold me back or affect me more than it has already did. Proud of you for doing the same and standing tall. And sharing your story will certainly help a lot of people who has been through the same and find strength to open up too and hopefully help them grow stronger and be able to live their life to the best possible.

After months and months of feeling pretty good, like I'm doing a great job healing myself and making a lot of progress overcoming and processing my childhood trauma, I'm having one of the hardest weeks of my life.
There was this kid I knew when we were child actors in the 80s. We were never friends, but just like me, he didn't want to be...

I can totally understand you and imagine how bad it can hurt you, because it also hurts me so much when I start to drown, it really hurts to read this ... this whole idea of what should be family ... the parents ... the people who are supposed to protect us .... I can't express myself at all now, but I hope you can emerge again.
gnomi:
thank you for being so open, my heart broke reading this. much respect!

I watched this wonderfully terrible B-movie from 1989 on MST3K last night, and it was surprisingly, counter-intuitively, inspiring to me.

I love these Corman movies. They are terrible, but they are an essential part of the entertainment industry, if for no other reason than the opportunity they present for producers, writers, directors, actors, and crew to get experience when there aren't tens of millions of...

These movies are important and they gave so much experience to those that need it to become better film makers. Great blog and great points

For the first time in his cruel, racist, abusive, mendacious, privileged life, Donald Trump has been held accountable for his actions. A majority of Congresspersons, representing a majority of Americans, have done all they can do to protect and defend our country from Donald Trump’s crimes. The American people have spoken, and the American people believe Donald Trump abused his power and obstructed Congress, in...

I'm happy that Congress has voted in this way, but i think im right in believing that the Senate now decide if hes guilty, and thats his party? Cant see them agreeing that he's guilty and theyre going to vote in support of him. They have at least started the ball rolling, so that is defo a good thing.
littlejohn22:
I just hope the trial proves he is guilty

So last night I got to see Bauhaus. This concert is something I've dreamed about since I was a teenager, something I never thought would happen because when I discovered them, they weren't touring, or even still together.
Presumably, everyone who filled up the sold-out Hollywood Palladium was there because they, too, have loved this band for 30 years, and I was expecting something pretty...
