We're supposed to believe in something
to believe in anything
to believe that life is worth living and dying for
to get on with this day and seek a new one.
I seek a soulmate
like everyone
but what if we only believe in falsehoods.
What if there are no soulmates
because we have no souls?
Maybe that is the weakest assuption of all
the belief in a soul.
