After reading about the contract on the rights photographers retain of the images and SG not allowing models/photogs to work on other competitors, I'm going to decline working directly with SG. I like the ideals of the website, but the legal restrictsions are too demanding for me.

Yup, yup. I also don't care for the fact that photographers are paid $100 for the set, $200 if they do the photoshop. Models are paid $500.

I have to buy alot of expensive equipment and spend more of my time editing, to get less than half of what a model gets for showing up for an hour? No offense to models with experience and a true calling as a model, but that's some BS. Both should be paid an equally fulfilling amount. This probably started because anyone can grab a digital camera and call themselves a photographer these days. Le sigh.
