So this weeks blog homework is listing the most recent sexist/racist/classist/homophobic (discrimination of any kind) things that you have encountered.
It would have to be what I am facing right now sadly. Since being on Suicide girls, I have fell in love with the members in this community.Everyone is so welcoming, helpful and just brings positive karma to my life. Not once being on the Suicide Girls website have I been "hated" on or have had someone say something negative. The women show that no matter what you look like, big or small, tattooed or not, coloured hair, etc. everyone is beautiful.
But it is just a shame that other people don't have that mentality. They feel that since they are conservative, everyone needs to be. To me some women are empowered showing more, while others are comfortable showing less. We need to focus more on being less judgmental and more encouraging to others because we do not know what others have faced in their life. Saying one positive thing to someone can really have an impact on them. But it is still painful to be talked about and have comments on your instagram that can change your mood in just a split second.
We need to spread more love. Namaste.
