i spent the evening listening to football and responding to an email assignment i gave to my students.
they were supposed to type 5 W questions for me to answer and reply to.
one asked who my best friend was.
i don't have one.
shoot.
yep.
I'm looking forward to seeing Tool this Wed for the first time ever. I hope that shit is loud, because i hate a) listening to music sitting down in a seat b) beingso far away from the speakers that i can't "feel" the music make thumps n' bumps in my inards.
i can tell, even after taking a few Tylenol PMs tonight, that i will sleep only about four damn hours.
Kevin DuBrow from Quiet Riot died recently. Sooooo many hours i spent during my childhood listening to Metal Health. it was the first tape i ever bought. somehow i stayed awake as a 2nd/3rd grader waiting every week for Friday Night Videos to play their stuff. striped spandex became cool somehow. i know for a fact Rudy Sarzo was the first musician i recall actually banging his head. i bought the "Mama we're all crazy now" 45 for my brother, but I was the one who actually listened to it. shoot, like i said in the thread, a piece of my inner child is pretty sad tonight.
