So, this kidney stone thing. As far as I'm aware it still has not passed. From what most guys I've talked to at work have told me, I'll KNOW when it passes. However, some of the literature says that it may break down into this "sandy" state and come out a little easier. My fingers are crossed.
My stone is only 2mm and it was KILLING me when I went to the ER; it honestly was the worst pain I've ever felt and it felt like my testicles were going to implode. I kept picturing the "Big Bang" or the creation of a White Dwarf Star would've paralleled the amount of pressure and force being exerted on my man parts.
Our record's manager's husband commiserated with me and shared his experiences and his father's. This dude's stone was 7mm, and told me that under a microscope you can see the surface is covered with BARBS that help lodge it in the tubes and create the blockage. Not a pretty picture....
.shit, 7mm?!?! I was dying with my 2mm dude..
The ER gave me this funnel with a screen in it that I'm supposed to pee in, and try to save the stone when it passes. Now every time I pee, it's a production. It tends to be messy if I try to go directly into the funnel, so I use a juice/drink container some of the time and just pour the pee into the funnel. it kinda depends on my patience level at the time.
I guess my insurance did cover me until the end of September, and my new coverage kicks in Oct. 1st, so that's a bit of a relief. I think the ER bill is about $3400, so I need to get up to speed on my insurance info.
Work is going well, the kid's are great so far. It's nice not to have anyone yet be really disrespectful, defiant, or refuse to participate in an activity. Pretty damn refreshing thus far.
Today: get new High On Fire and check out the King of Kong documentary.
