so i took the train down to san fran-disco last week. swell ride down, pretty painless. kinda did pretty good for just winging it. I only had directions to one of the venues that party time was playing at, the address in Oakland to the other. Spent three days walkin, taking the bus, riding the streetcar, just bumming. I did a little of the touristy shit, took pictures of the bridges, crooked street, alcatraz, etc. visited some of the different neighborhoods, castro, mission, haight, Chinatown, the wharf, goldengate park. Spent a bunch of time on haight st. at the record stores, one of which I went into and just left cuz I knew if I started diggin I could spend the whole 3 days there. I expected more dirty hippies, but I see more in p-town than I did down there. The shows were awesome, party time and the cherry valence kicked ass!!!! Totally good excuse to take the train down there. Ride back sucked, some big 350 lb. Guy kept touching my ass all night as I was sleeping, that is when his fucking chainsaw snoring didnt keep me awake. The train ended up being 3 hours late, one hour of which was spent stopped only twenty minutes outside of Portland behind a freight train. Literally got off the train, took a shower (my butt really stank), got right on the max train to go to work wonderful trip, Id love to go back and spend more time in the bay, cuz I didnt get to check out any of the dance scene at all. I also got a burned copy of word 2000 finally, fuck you bill. now Ive got to figure out how to undo all the crap I absolutely hate about it (like the autocorrect features).
